| At vom NeoHaus German Shepherds, our dogs are our passion, our love, and our family members. I grew up with GSD's, among others, and have always had a fondness of them. My female GSD growing up was my guardian and my best friend. From then I was hooked. I started with a male. Luger is a CD and CGC. I then acquired 2 females about 4 years later. This hobby is my passion.... All our dogs are bred to German standards, after all, they are GSD. This means a dog must acquire a title in Schutzhund, be hip xrayed, DNA'd, and pass an endurance test. This is what tells us which dogs should be bred. A German Shepherd is more than a dog...it is a man's best friend. We breed only when a need arises to suit our purposes. We don't breed to have puppies!!! There are already too many dogs in shelters. Our goal is to better the breed. We are always searching for that perfect all around dog. We work all our dogs and show them as well. After all, how would we know if we are achieving our goals if we too don't keep the progeny and work it? If you are considering a GSD, please ask your breeder as many questions as they ask you. I, too, have gotten a very unhealthy GSD. Ask to see PROOF of hip xrays, health certifications, and shot records on the parents. Ask about the lines their dogs come from and why they chose to breed this litter. Ask if they have a purpose or goal. My passion for the breed will continue and will hopefully carry on to my children. They, too, help with training and handling of the dogs.
